All image processing is done locally in your browser via WebAssembly, ensuring privacy. Smart compression balances quality and size, supports batch processing, before/after comparison, and one-click download. Optimizes image loading and transfer efficiency for SEO, social media, email, and more.
AVIF (AV1 Image File Format) is a next-gen image format based on AV1 video coding. It supports HDR, wide color gamut, and transparency, using less space than PNG, JPG, and WebP at equivalent quality. Supported by all major browsers and mobile devices.
Native AVIF images have high quality but large file sizes, consuming storage and data, and slowing page and mini-program loading. Moderate compression produces nearly invisible differences while significantly reducing file size for faster opening and smoother uploads.
AVIF is based on AV1 intra-frame coding. Lossy mode uses adaptive quantization and chroma subsampling to reduce visual redundancy. Lossless mode uses fully reversible coding to preserve all pixel information. Quantization parameters can be adjusted to control compression strength, achieving high ratios while maintaining quality, transparency, and color detail.
| Use Case | Quality Level | Compression Ratio | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| HD artwork, photography, premium display | 90-100 | 10-30% | Ultra HD, full detail, virtually no compression loss |
| Web graphics, e-commerce, daily sharing | 75-89 | 40-60% | Natural quality, significantly smaller size, top choice for daily use |
| Image thumbnails, list icons, previews | 60-74 | 60-80% | Moderate compression, compact and lightweight, meets basic display needs |
| Extreme optimization, low-bandwidth, asset backup | Below 60 | 80%+ | Minimal file size, ideal for fast loading and batch storage |
